25 People Join First Online Tutorial in The Network Series
The Network Gippsland’s online tutorial series got off to a strong start on Monday 25 May, with 25 medical students, junior doctors and registrars joining from across the region.
The first session featured Dr David Campbell, Rural Generalist, Supervisor and Censor in Chief of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, who presented The Zoonoses: A Stroll Around Rural Australia.
Drawing on his extensive experience in rural medicine, Dr Campbell shared practical insights into zoonotic diseases encountered across Australia, highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities that come with practising medicine in rural and remote communities.
The session sparked thoughtful discussion among participants and provided an opportunity for attendees to learn from one of Australia’s most experienced rural clinicians.
The online tutorial series forms part of The Network’s commitment to supporting medical students and doctors through education, mentorship, and professional development opportunities that are relevant to rural practice.
Thank you to Dr Campbell for generously sharing his knowledge and experience, and to everyone who joined us for the first session.
More online tutorials, guest speakers, workshops and networking opportunities are planned throughout the year as we continue building a connected and supportive medical community across Gippsland.
